Green Industrial Facilities and Manufacturing Program

The Green Industrial Facilities Manufacturing Program (GIFMP) provides financial assistance to support the implementation of energy efficiency and energy management solutions designed to maximize energy performance, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions, and competitiveness for industry in Canada.

GIFMP offers cost-shared financial support for a holistic and comprehensive suite of energy efficiency measures completed by March 2027 and is being delivered through two separate tracks:

Track 1: Energy Efficiency Solutions

For provinces, territories, and utilities and other eligible recipients with sufficient capacity and experience, as well as well-established industrial networks.

The Energy Efficiency Solutions track supports the industrial energy efficiency initiatives undertaken by those entities that align with Government of Canada objectives.

Track 2: Industrial Facility track

For all industrial sectors and facility sizes, with a focus on filling gaps in reach and coverage across regions, sectors and activities.

The Industrial Facility track provides direct-to-industry support to help implement energy efficiency and energy management solutions within their respective facilities.
