Design and Construction of a Microgrid for the High Commission of Canada in Nigeria, in Abuja

Canada, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), is initiating a process to prequalify contractors for the design and construction of a microgrid, as well as the grid reconnection and operations and maintenance, of the High Commission of Canada in Nigeria, in Abuja.

The outcome of the project is to ensure the long-term resiliency, incorporating solar+battery and diesel generator into a controlled Microgrid the system and to reconnected to the grid to ensure continuous and independent operation at full load at all time, while reducing the High Commission’s operational environmental footprint.

Interested suppliers are required to respond to this Invitation to Qualify. Only those Respondents considered by DFATD to meet the pre-qualification requirements as defined in this document will be invited to submit competitive bids for this work during the Request for Proposal phase of the solicitation.
