Lauren Garvey is the CEO of EQUS, Canada’s largest member-owned utility.
Lauren’s leadership extends across a dedicated, values-driven team of 120 staff members working across the province in Onoway, Innisfail, Penhold, Claresholm, and Medicine Hat. This team is committed to powering rural Alberta with integrity and innovation, providing reliable electrical distribution services to over 13,000 rural Albertans in 26 rural Counties and Municipal Districts.
With a background in leadership and organizational development, Lauren is proud to lead an organization that is guided by its core values of quality, accountability, knowledge, and community. Her passion for taking care of the internal and external communities of EQUS has played a pivotal role in the strategic growth and success of the co-operative, through building strong relationships with stakeholders, optimizing internal processes, and contributing to the thriving sustainability of the co-operative. Lauren is energized by the opportunity to further DEC’s mission and vision as a member of the Board.
